Hi, I’m Kirsten! I am a freelance designer specializing in graphic design, print marketing and simple, effective websites. Whether re-branding an existing company or starting from scratch, my goal is to create for my client a dynamic brand that encompasses their unique story.
A BIT OF BACKGROUND My design career started back in 2001, when I decided to make the jump from Interior Design to Graphic Design, at a large commercial design firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia. My design style was richly influenced by the finishes used in the spaces we designed such as luxurious fabrics, slick slate and knotted woods. It was a unique opportunity to be involved at the conceptual stage of a new build or renovation which lent itself greatly to the spaces graphic elements.
As a senior graphic designer, I was given the opportunity to design for clients such as Wild Oats Marketplace, Landis Hotels, Capers Community Markets and countless airport retail spaces, as well as, food and beverage concessions.
In 2006, I ventured out on my own and have been honoured to create for many small businesses, as well as, some large corporate endeavours such as Bosley's Pet Food, Whole Foods and Discovery Organics.

Hello!
I have lived by the sea my entire life. My art and design style is deeply influenced by the rugged nature that surrounds me.
From scavenging our rainforests, climbing our seaside bluffs or venturing to the rocky shores below, I am constantly drawn to a new hue of grey, a texture to mimick or a simplistic pattern of a pebble. Design is everywhere and what better way to be inspired than to get out there and breathe it in. When not searching for treasures, I am the proud mama of two beautiful children, the wife to a fearless rock climber and the caregiver to a vast menagerie of furred, feathered and scaled critters. I like to pretend I'm a farmer on our steep lot situated in the woods of our island where I grow vegetables and create one of a kind heirloom art dolls. I take great comfort in a hot cup of tea, vintage typography, fog horns and salty air. I want to learn everything there is to know about my rock in the Salish Sea and keep a journal to help document this beautiful life.
